Amy Kohut, PCC has been skillfully leading groups and individuals towards their professional goals for over 25 years. She has deep experience in many facets of professional realms: for-profit, non-profit, higher education, and government.
As the Founder/Owner of 1 Step Coaching and Consulting, she offers Executive and Leadership Coaching, and consults with leaders and leadership teams in Organizational Well-Being, and Team Effectiveness. Amy leads workshops and coaches using DiSC, MBTI, EQi 2.0 (Emotional Intelligence), Strengthsfinder, the Leadership Wheel, and is a Professional Certified Coach and a certified Presence-Based Coach.
Amy is a is a faculty member of Presence-Based Coaching; a Sr. Facilitator with the Cornell Team & Leadership Center, a member of The International Coach Federation, and is the past Chair of the Board of Directors of the Experiential Training and Development Alliance.
Amy is a Team Coach for Cornell University’s Executive MBA/MS Healthcare Leadership Program, the Executive MBA Metro NY Program, and the Executive MBA Americas Program which partners with the Smith School of Business at Queen’s University.
Amy is the Director Emeritus of Cornell University’s Team & Leadership Center, having served as the Director from 2006-2016. In that role, she worked with thousands of clients within the University and externally. Amy has served the Ithaca area’s non-profit and for-profit sector in engaging trainings custom-designed to meet their needs in Leadership Development and Team Performance.
Recent clients include Amazon, Cayuga Medical Center, Cornell University, Challenge Workforce Solutions, Duke University Health System, Family and Children’s Services, Hospicare, Ithaca College, The Boyce Thompson Institute, Foodnet/Meals on Wheels, Kendal at Ithaca, Syracuse University, SUNY Oswego, Tompkins County Health Department, and the Intelligence community in Washington DC.
